A Pinch 'O' Green

Residents pitched in to bake goodies for the St. Patrick's Day party. We made Pot 'O' Gold Chex Mix, Chocolate Pretzel Bites, and Leprechaun Hat cookies. Yum!

 Geraldine, Maxine and Judy are assembling the different parts of the cookie. Judy rolled out Tootsie Rolls and Maxine and Geraldine mixed up the cookies.
 The sugar cookies formed the brim of the hat.
 Here's Jeanine, hard at work on the gum drops for hat accessories. 
 Maxine scooped out cookie dough to form into balls before baking.
 Judy ended up getting a few extra hands to roll out tootsie rolls. 
 Large marshmallows were placed on top of the cookies right after we pulled them out of the oven. We put food coloring into the frosting to make it green. Putting the frosting on these sweet little hats was a messy challenge!
 Jeanine is helping put the finishing touches on the Leprechaun Hats.
 Maxine also helped wrap the tootsie rolls around the hats and gum drops on.
