Oktoberfest!

What a wonderful day!

Oktoberfest began with a delicious meal of bratwurst and sauerkraut (what else?) with garlic kale and German fried potatoes. The festivities continued with an amazing performance by the Melody Makers, dressed in their very best leiderhosen and playing music that made the residents get up and dance! Vendors brought in some beautiful items for a little shopping, and the residents enjoyed the rest of their afternoon with a soft pretzel in one hand and a beer in the other.

Candy Character: Who's Who?

Residents have the opportunity (in honor of the sweet treats for Halloween) to vote on the resident that they feel is best represented by a select candy bar.

The winners will receive their character candy bar and will be announced at the Halloween Party next week!
Happy Voting!

Howdy and Happy Birthday

Residents all came together to celebrate the many October birthdays we have here at Creekside. They all dressed in their western best, enjoyed delicious cake and sang the afternoon away.

We have 15 October birthdays! Happy birthday to all you October babies, and thank you for celebrating with us!

A Sea of Pink - Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness

Residents and staff wore Pink on Tuesday in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Everyone in the room had been affected by breast cancer in some way - and we all teamed up to support Breast Cancer Awareness and research. Resident volunteers helped make breast cancer ribbon pins, for every resident to wear during the month. Even if someone didn't have a pink shirt to wear, they had a pink ribbon!

Looking out across the dining room, it was like a sea of pink. Men and women alike donned their pink, and looked fabulous while doing it.

Thank you for your support! We wear pink in honor of the survivors and lost warriors to breast cancer.

Sing Your Heart Out

Piano player Ellen Smith performed a series of singalong and easy listening music for the residents. It is such a special experience to hear their group of voices resonate throughout the building.

Ellen shared a special time with the residents yesterday afternoon. Thank you, Ellen! We'll see you again!

We've Got Talent

Residents had a wonderful time at the Talent Show held here on Monday. We had several singers, a few jokers, and a whole lot of fun.

Terry played his guitar and harmonica for us. He truly brings a light and energy to the community that we are so grateful for.

Doris has a long history in music - and she shared that with us. Her performance took her back to they days when music and singing was her life.

Everyone enjoyed the show!
